Cyberpunk Detective

What is Cyberpunk Detective?

Cyberpunk Detective is a project I am currently working on to sharpen my Unreal Engine 4 skills. The project is intended to create the experience of a detective in a defunct cyber city hunting down bounties and cleaning up the streets. I am wanting to include story elements to the project and allow the player to hunt bounties passively while also having a main storyline.

I chose the Cyberpunk aesthetic as I feel it still has interesting ways that it can be explored in media as well as it lending itself well to the gameplay ideas I have in mind.

The current plan for the world is to have open areas that allow the player to explore in their own time, I want to make the city feel as if it is alive with a traffic system along with pedestrian AI as well as AI for gangs which the player can choose to fight against during missions.

This project is still a work in progress and shouldn't be taken as close to a final product.

Test the early build!

I have uploaded an in development version of the project to allow people to give the current features a go and give any feedback they might be able to give. The link is over on itch.io!

Now, you may have to forgive the layout of this blueprint a little as I needed to fit it into the image but this is the information that allows the guns themselves to spawn when the player swaps weapons as well as making sure the other weapon is sent to the right socket.
