This is a project that is currently in development. For now there is a short demo video of the project as of 05/07/21 however this page will be expanded and have the playable game on here in the coming weeks.
This blueprint is the one for the player character, it is an edit of the original ThirdPersonCharacter that is available in Unreal Engine 4.
I had to create some new systems like how the physics works and how the punch animation is fired. This is also where I can call the widgets I need as well as edit the health of the player character.
This blueprint is another version of the standard Unreal Engine 4 character however I have adapted this to be the Kaiju AI. It needed to have the same physics simulation as the player character to keep it in theme.
This also has the basic blueprint of chasing the player however this will likely change to focus on an objective such as destroying a building so the players have to stop the Kaiju from
This is the very simple blueprint for my health pickup that I created in a day. The logic for this is very simple as it only has to cast to the ThirdPersonCharacter1 and add to the life number.
Also I included a sound to play so that the player recognises that they have picked up the health.
This is the pickup that I sketched, modelled, textured and then blueprinted into the game. More images of the development can be found in the gallery at the bottom of this page.
